We booked two days to enjoy the last day of 2022, but it was the most eventful of the hotels I have stayed in. On the first night, there was a drilling sound from upstairs for about an hour. It rang like crazy and the two cups of $10 coffee we ordered at 2:30 PM didn't arrive until 3:30 PM. I contacted them again to confirm, but without saying sorry, they said that they would place an order again and send it to me in an indifferent voice. Still, no coffee, it is almost 4 pm. Very questionable if this is a 5 star hotel

Service could get better. I have to ask every time for refills of coffee or water. The carpet in the room is too old. No business room or other amenities like sauna or hot tube or pool. More like boutique hotel. Quality of other stuff is good. I like the restrooms here. They have the lux toiletries

Informed the hotel I would be arriving late(1030 pm but actually closer to 11:30pm due to flight delay). Arrived at the hotel to find the first floor dark with no obvious way to get in and spent time searching for a call buzzer with none apparent. Finally a manager from restaurant saw me as he was driving away in his car, stopped and let me in. For the pleasure of being locked out, I was charged $1229 for the evening for a standard room that normally costs half that. Other instances of poor communication and service during the following days of my stay ensured that I will not return to this hotel.

Nice, but flaws and the service is patchy and not where is should be for this price bracket. Lots of simple things that would be easy to fix with better management: missing soap and toiletries not replaced, no 110v sockets in the room by the desk or bed for charging, only old style USB. The shower is low power, so showering was slow, I’ve not seen water pressure problems elsewhere in PA. A confusing lighting system that is inflexible - you have to choose programs, and press the wrong button and suddenly you are opening blinds or closing them with all lights on - I’m used to Hue at home, and this is not helpful. Room service is farcical, but the food is ok. And the lack of an iron in the room is an oversight, and the one they brought me didn’t seem to work very well at all. The gym is comically small and no pool. In the gym I almost punched a hole in the ceiling, not realising how low the ceiling was in front of the free weights. Oh, and they somehow had my email address wrongly recorded and even after I corrected it the bill hasn’t shown up. There are other hotels in the area that have better facilities and service for the same or lower price.

Stayed for business. Room was great. Automated blinds and lighting system are good. TV is huge. Lots of charging ports. Bed was comfortable. There is a balcony although the door is strangely designed, so is not straight forward to close once opened. Showers are really well designed. Robes and slippers were a nice touch. Even better was the hair straightener that's available in each room, although the hair dryer was not working. Lots of storage space. Ambience and decor in the rooms and the property were beautiful and well integrated. The reception area is on the 2nd floor, so it's a bit weird since the 1st floor is handled by the restaurant. Gym is also on the 2nd floor and there are Peloton bikes, but it can be hard to connect bluetooth headphones. It'd be nice if they stocked disposable wired headphones to solve this issue. Had the bento breakfast at the restaurant and it was delicious. Night time - had a hard to sleeping. The room I was given faces Hamilton which is actually quite a busy street with cars revving their engines. Additionally it was a connecting room. Front desk helped me get another room facing the back side street. They warned me about construction happening 9-5, but that was totally fine since I wasn't planning to be in the hotel during the day. Switching rooms improved my sleep a lot! I did notice the room was slightly smaller - it was a corner room (non-connecting) beside the maintenance room so that also added more quiet since I wasn't beside any other guests. Outside of the property itself, the location is extremely convenient. It's fairly close to the Caltrain, as well as the main University Ave restaurants and shops. It's across the street from a Sephora and a Rumble Boxing fitness studio. Overall enjoyed the stay and would return in the future.

The female receptionist who answered the phone when I called had a disdainful attitude so I had to end the conversation quickly. I said thank you, and that I would leave a review so others could hear about my experience. I won't use her name here, but I asked a very simple question and I did not mean to offend her by it. She must have felt the need to express her opinion about it by her tone and punctuation of voice. I may visit this hotel in the future as it looks upscale and beautiful, but I do believe it is important to have a more professional staff if your hotel room rates are $400+.

Amazing hotel at the heart of Palo Alto. It’s pricey but very fancy. Excellent customer service and amenities. Love their automated everything in the room especially the sensor controlled and heated toilet. The huge Wall mounted TV is a bonus. Very well stocked room and the amazing restaurant downstairs.

This hotel was beautiful. The decor is soothing and well-done. The technology in the room -- Chromecast, Alexa, window shade settings -- was a nice bonus. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Hotel is kinda nice, very Japanese style. but service could be improved. 1) the in-room chrome cast won’t work; IT guy came over trying to reboot but after 20min we had to give us. 2) in the morning, the elevator doesn’t work and I had to go through the kitchen to get out dragging two luggages; plus there’s no instructions on how exactly I should get out so I had to wonder around the kitchen a bit.
