Located by the waterfront of Katajanokka Scandic Grand Marina is housed in 1920s Art Nouveau building and offers free WiFi sauna gym and a 24-hour on-site shop. The Market Square is a 6-minute walk away. All guest rooms have wooden floors a TV and a desk. Some rooms have a tea/coffee maker. The large arched windows and high ceiling in the restaurant and bar creates a bright atmosphere. During summer guests can also enjoy the large terrace. For a 4* hotel, it was very poor:
- arrived late and was asking questions about where to get dinner, the reception told me very quickly all is closed and to download an app, without even specifying which one
- the mattresses are about 2 inches tall and the pillows tiny
- room wasn't tidied properly (i.e. bed wasn't made) the day after
- lights weren't working in the room.
Normally I'm ok with this in a 2-3* hotel, but not a 4*...
The food at the restaurant is good but the room service is pricey and basic

Nice hotel, located very centrally in Helsinki. Rooms are very clean and adequate. Breakfast is a buffet system and has a good variety of food. There is also a sauna and gym. Wifi is excellent. There are also lots of hire e scooters outside which is convenient. Finally there is a k mart just behind so good to buy any toiletries or snacks.

I love this hotel. The perfect location, the history, and the uniqueness of the rooms have kept me and my family coming back for years. The only downside (otherwise a 5 across the board) is that some of the rooms have windows that will not open, so no option for freshening up the room air, and that some of the touches (carpeting, lighting, mattresses, etc) are slightly overdue for replacement/renewing. The breakfast is 10/10, the staff is great, and the location/historic building outweigh the minor shabbiness. With just a little love, this place would be an even more obvious gem than it currently is and has been since it was privately owned.

Great breakfast. Easy to access. Pretty quiet. You feel at home and comfortable in general.

Fantastic service from the staff in reception, bar and restaurant and not forgetting the cleaners. Had a double room for single use. Food in restaurant really good and would go there just to eat. Will definitely stay again

Es un Hotel muy grande y las habitaciones standar son bastante austeras, se tardan mucho en asear las habitaciones, por lo mismo supongo. Esta bien pero nada especial.
